Bonne Annee / Happy New Year

Happy New Year, good health to all my friends and all those who follow and come taking a look at this blog.

A big thank you to Santa New Zealand, who came to file my shoes with a gift this year too, the book in English by Bernard Leach, I named 'The Potters's book', thank you very much Peter I'll read with it pleasure. I read it in French, some time ago.

I have not been very active on the blog lately, and I have not put my hands in clay since a long time. I was requested by my large family to go to the bedside of my mother and transmit news to those who are far away, accompany those who pass away.

A long walk to the coast, where the wind was so violent that we turned back, our faces whipped by rain and spray, not without seeing the island Pouldon capped by huge waves. It's a big storm today, one of those we have had for quite some time, following each others.

A little 'best of' of my favorite pieces, and all my best wishes to you my friends, especially to Peter and Aude who are taking care of me :-)

Bonne Annee to you and Yves!
Hope that the weather improves for you soon.
I enjoyed being Santa, it was fun for me, and I am glad that the book got to you.
Alas, we still have grey days here, they go on and on and on! I looked at the 10 day forecast, and this coming Saturday is the only sunny day offered to us..., the rest are rain and cloud and more rain!
Kind thoughts,

P, L, and NS

Bonne Annee a vous et Laura, Peter,

Hope the weather improves for you too, grey days in the summer are not fine, here swell allows boats to make their daily crossings, so that we are not closed in the island.
Yesterday, I use the time of crossing, to advance in reading Santa's book.
Now I am able to understand what you mean with old fashioned language about Bernard Leach.
Anyway, it's much more easy for me to understand this old-fashioned way of speaking, not too many idioms.
It seems close to our French language, and many words are french.

Wish you sunny days
