Livre d'artiste et sa copie / Handmade book and its copy

I have been working for a long time with Chinese ink and colored inks on handmade papers, oriental papers and even far east oriental papers. Some are thin, some are thick, there are all kinds and each time, they react differently, absorb the ink in very different ways.

Here is a book I made a while ago and I received a copy printed on rice paper by an exhibition colleague. The inks he uses are guaranteed 100 years and the thick paper is beautiful, of course, no fringed edges. I really like doing collages, assembling, composing.

The book is delightful, a treasure to hold in the hand! How nice to also have a copy. It is always very interesting to see the difference between the original and the printed copy, there always is a difference, but a print can often be very beautiful in its own way.

Hello Peter, thank you very much, I would like you to hold it in your hands, the paper is very soft. Inks are quiet fragile and a copy is good to fix the colours, before they go away. My colleague had keep a copy for him, and he forgot to print one page, anyway, it doesn't matter, I was very happy to get it.
