Le Père Noël est arrivé de bonne heure cette année, il vient de loin, de Nouvelle Zélande. Aujourd'hui, j'ai eu la surprise de recevoir dans ma boîte aux lettres, un colis de Peter et Laura Gregory, potiers et peintres à Otago, Nouvelle Zélande.
Voici un lien vers le blog de Peter, qui m'a gentiment aidé lorsque l'émaillage était encore un mystère pour moi. Alors, ce n'était pas tout à fait une surprise, mais je ne m'attendais pas à recevoir si tôt, ces jolies décorations de Noël peintes par Laura et ces deux tasses à café faites par Peter.
Nous les avons aussitôt inaugurées en buvant un thé et dès demain, ce sera un bon café, elles ont exactement la taille que j'aime, sont joliment tournées et décorées, émaillées avec un bel émail vert.
Dans notre arbre de Noël, un bougainvillée !!! Il y a maintenant un petit cochon et un joli papillon. Merci à vous Laura et Peter, nous sommes très touchés.
Father Christmas came early this year, it comes from afar, New Zealand. Today I was surprised to receive in my mailbox, a parcel of Peter and Laura Gregory, potter and painters in Otago, New Zealand.
Here's a link to Peter's blog, who kindly helped me when glazing was still a mystery to me. So it was not entirely a surprise, but I did not expect to receive so early, these beautiful Christmas decorations painted by Laura and two coffee cups made by Peter.
We've opened immediately by drinking tea and tomorrow, it will be a good coffee, they have exactly the size I like, are very well thrown, beautifully decorated and glazed with a lovely green glaze.
In our Christmas tree, a bougainvillea! There is now a small pig and a beautiful butterfly. Thank you to Laura and Peter, we are very touched.

Father Christmas is delighted that the reindeer delivered the parcel successfully. He and Mother Christmas, were probably as excited about sending the parcel as you were in receiving it! We are celebrating here near the South Pole! (Not many people know this, but the South Pole is currently the preferred location for Santa's workshop now that global warming has affected the North pole so badly!!).

Vraiment sympa ce colis venu de l'autre bout du monde ! Le miracle de Noël, c'est qu'il n'y ait pas de casse.
Très bien aussi pour le vin chaud aux épices ce genre de récipient qui tient bien la chaleur.

Oui et mon colis est arrivé aussi :-) Et miracle, pas de casse non plus. C'est vraiment super d'échanger et c'est Peter qui a eu l'initiative.
C'est très agréable de boire dans des pièces en grès, froid ou chaud.
