C'est un hiver très doux et très pluvieux, j'ai fait une cuissons de dégourdi depuis la mi-novembre et j'ai hébergé quelques pots d'une jeune potière. Pour la cuisson émail qui a suivi, j'ai fait preuve d'une certaine légèreté. Habituellement, je lance, la veille, un séchage à 150° de deux heures, les pots ont le temps de bien sécher toute la nuit, ainsi que la petite motte de terre dans laquelle je plante les cônes, et j'ai tout simplement omis de le faire !!! Et ce petit morceau de terre a explosé dans tous les pots aux alentours, les seuls qui ont été épargnés étaient tout en bas du four sous une plaque.

J'ai une petite idée pour essayer de réparer les dégâts, nous verrons celà. Et bien, je devrais m'y remettre sous peu, mais c'est sans compter sur les petits enfants qui prennent un peu de place maintenant et je me fais une joie de les garder de temps en temps.

Dans le four, il y avait une petite série de tasses en porcelaine tournées et pincées jusqu'à la transparence, l'émail que j'utilise les mets particulièrement en valeur. Pour les autres pièces en porcelaine, j'ai fait quelques décorations aux engobes, y compris pour les perles. Deux tasses faites à la main ont été recuites et placées tout en bas du four, elles ont bénéficié d'un effet de réduction et sont devenues bleutées, même émail que sur la porcelaine, mais plus épais. J'avais envie d'essayer depuis longtemps l'ajout de verre et c'est aussi une réussite.

In the kiln, there was a small serie of porcelain cups turned and pinched until transparent, the glaze I use especially highlights them. For the other porcelain pieces, I made some decorations with blue slips, for the pearls too. Two handmade cups were fire again and placed at the very bottom of the kiln, they benefited from a reduction effect and became bluish, the same glaze as on porcelain, but thicker.
